Wildfield Village by Solmar Development Corp. is an upcoming master-planned community coming soon to Mayfield Road and Gore Road in Caledon. Built by a homebuilder with over 36 years of experience, the first release introduces freehold townhomes, semis and detached homes within a thoughtfully planned neighbourhood designed around green space and family living.
Wildfield Village offers a diverse collection of home types, freehold townhomes, semi-detached and single-detached designs, to suit a range of households and budgets. Solmar’s layouts emphasize functional family living and contemporary architecture, with the broader master plan weaving parks, trails and open space throughout the growing community.
As a master-planned community, Wildfield Village centres on green spaces, trails and family-friendly parks rather than building amenities. Residents will enjoy convenient access to schools, shopping and recreation, with the surrounding Caledon setting offering room to grow within one of the GTA’s fastest-expanding municipalities.
Wildfield Village is planned at Mayfield Road and The Gore Road in southern Caledon, between Tullamore and Bolton and bordering Brampton. Mayfield Road forms the southern edge of the planning area and The Gore Road the eastern edge, leading south into Brampton, where routes reach Highways 427, 407 and 410. Highway 50 runs through nearby Bolton. A protection corridor for the planned Highway 413 lies to the north.
The Town of Caledon’s Wildfield Village Secondary Plan envisions a compact, well-connected community with a range of housing, commercial and community uses. Council approved the plan in July 2025, though it remains under appeal. The lands were long rural hamlet countryside, so the first homes will arrive beside established Bolton and Brampton neighbourhoods, and buyers should expect local services to grow in stages as the area is built out.
The Humber Valley Heritage Trail follows the Humber River south from Palgrave through Bolton, while Dick’s Dam Park and Edelweiss Park offer quieter green space in town. Albion Hills Conservation Area, farther north, has hiking, mountain biking and camping. The secondary plan also calls for one community park and five neighbourhood parks within Wildfield Village, alongside a protected natural heritage system.
Bolton’s public schools include Humberview Secondary School, Allan Drive Middle School, James Bolton Public School and Ellwood Memorial Public School, with Holy Family, St. John Paul II and St. Nicholas elementary schools and St. Michael Catholic Secondary School on the Catholic side. The secondary plan allows for one secondary school and four elementary schools within Wildfield Village. Families should confirm catchments with the Peel District School Board and Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board.
Bolton has the nearest established retail. The SmartCentres plaza at Highway 50 and McEwan Drive East is anchored by Walmart, Canadian Tire, LCBO and Landmark Cinemas, and South Hill Plaza sits at Queen Street South and Allan Drive. Queen Street, Bolton’s main street, runs through the downtown valley. Commercial and mixed use areas are also planned within Wildfield Village, so local shopping options are expected to expand over time.
Albion Bolton Community Centre at 150 Queen Street South has an arena, auditorium, meeting rooms, a Caledon Public Library branch and a Caledon Parent-Child Centre EarlyON program, beside the Bolton Fairgrounds. In Brampton, Gore Meadows Community Centre and Library at 10150 The Gore Road adds a pool and fitness facilities. Wildfield Village itself is planned with parks and schools, which will bring recreation closer to home.
Caledon has no transit system of its own. The nearest confirmed bus service is in Brampton, where Route 50 Gore Road runs from Humber College Terminal to Gore Meadows Community Centre, and Routes 35 and 35A Clarkway and 36 Gardenbrooke Trail also serve that centre. Most residents should expect to drive, using Mayfield Road, The Gore Road and Highway 50 as the main links to Bolton and Brampton.
