In 1994, SmartCentres helped Walmart enter the Canadian market and remains Walmart’s only real estate development partner worldwide. Our early work focused on providing Canadians with fair pricing for their everyday shopping needs. Over the years, we expanded to every province while keeping our mission at the heart of every decision.

SmartCentres isn’t just about shopping anymore. Our in-house development team now leads Project 512, a $14.9 billion transformation plan. We are designing master-plans for each property in our portfolio, combining residential, retail, office, hotels, self-storage, and industrial spaces.
